And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

1 Kings 8:36Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.
1 Kings 8:37If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;
1 Kings 8:38What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:
1 Kings 8:39Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)
1 Kings 8:40That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.
1 Kings 8:41Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake;
1 Kings 8:42(For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house;
1 Kings 8:43Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.
1 Kings 8:44If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:
1 Kings 8:45Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
1 Kings 8:46If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;
1 Kings 8:47Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;
1 Kings 8:48And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:
2 Chronicles 6:24And if thy people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee; and shall return and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication before thee in this house;
2 Chronicles 6:25Then hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers.

2 Chronicles 6:31That they may fear thee, to walk in thy ways, so long as they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.
2 Chronicles 7:13If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
2 Chronicles 7:14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Job 33:11He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.
Job 33:16Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,
Job 33:17That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

Job 33:23If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:
Job 33:24Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
Job 33:25His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days of his youth:
Job 33:26He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
Job 33:27He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
Job 33:28He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.
Job 33:29Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,
Job 33:30To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.
Job 36:8And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;
Job 36:9Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.
Job 36:10He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.
Psalms 66:10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

Psalms 107:23They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
Psalms 107:24These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
Psalms 107:25For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
Psalms 107:26They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
Psalms 107:27They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end.
Psalms 107:28Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
Psalms 107:29He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
Psalms 107:30Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
Psalms 107:31Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
