And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
Mark 9:39But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
Mark 9:40For he that is not against us is on our part.
Mark 9:41For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
Luke 9:49And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
Luke 9:50And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
Acts 10:1There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
Acts 10:2A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
Acts 10:3He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
Acts 10:4And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
Acts 10:5And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:
Acts 10:6He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.
Acts 10:7And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;
Acts 10:8And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.
Acts 10:9On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
Acts 10:10And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
Acts 10:11And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
Acts 10:12Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
Acts 10:13And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
Acts 10:14But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
Acts 10:15And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Acts 10:16This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
Acts 10:17Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
Acts 10:18And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
Acts 10:19While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
Acts 10:20Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
Acts 10:21Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
Acts 10:22And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
Acts 10:23Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
Acts 10:24And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
Acts 10:25And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
Acts 10:26But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
Acts 10:27And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
Acts 10:28And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Acts 10:29Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
Acts 10:30And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
Acts 10:31And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
Acts 10:32Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.
Acts 10:33Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
Acts 10:34Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
Acts 10:35But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
Acts 10:36The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
Acts 10:37That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
Acts 10:38How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Acts 10:39And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
Acts 10:40Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
Acts 10:41Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
Acts 10:42And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
Acts 10:43To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Acts 10:44While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
Acts 10:45And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 10:46For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Acts 10:47Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
Acts 10:48And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
Acts 11:17Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
Acts 11:18When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
Acts 15:1And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
Acts 15:2When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
Acts 15:3And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
Acts 15:4And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
Acts 15:5But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
Acts 15:6And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
Acts 15:7And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
Acts 15:8And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
Acts 15:9And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Acts 15:10Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Acts 15:11But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
Acts 15:12Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
Acts 15:13And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
Acts 15:14Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
Acts 15:15And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
Acts 15:16After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
Acts 15:17That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
Acts 15:18Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
Acts 15:19Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
Acts 15:20But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
Acts 15:21For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
Acts 15:22Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
Acts 15:23And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
Acts 15:24Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
Acts 15:25It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
Acts 15:26Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 15:27We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
Acts 15:28For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
Acts 15:29That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
Acts 15:30So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:
Acts 15:31Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
Romans 1:1Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
Romans 1:2(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
Romans 1:3Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
Romans 1:4And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Romans 1:5By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
Romans 1:6Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
Romans 1:7To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 1:14I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
Romans 1:15So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
Romans 1:16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Romans 3:20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 3:21But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Romans 3:22Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Romans 3:23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Romans 3:25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Romans 3:26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Romans 3:27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Romans 3:28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Romans 3:29Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
Romans 3:30Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
Romans 3:31Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Romans 4:1What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
Romans 4:2For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
Romans 4:3For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Romans 4:4Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
Romans 4:5But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Romans 4:6Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
Romans 4:7Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Romans 4:8Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Romans 4:9Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
Romans 4:10How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
Romans 4:11And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
Romans 4:12And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
Romans 4:13For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Romans 4:14For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
Romans 4:15Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
Romans 4:16Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Romans 4:17(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
Romans 4:18Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
Romans 4:19And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:
Romans 4:20He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
Romans 4:21And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Romans 4:22And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
Romans 4:23Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
Romans 4:24But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Romans 4:25Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Romans 5:1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Romans 5:2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Galatians 3:27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Galatians 3:28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:14For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Ephesians 2:15Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
Ephesians 2:16And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
Ephesians 2:17And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
Colossians 3:11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
Colossians 3:12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Colossians 3:13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Colossians 3:14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Colossians 3:15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
