Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

2 Chronicles 17:9And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.
Ezra 7:10For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

Psalms 78:8And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.
Psalms 119:3They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
Psalms 119:4Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
Psalms 119:5O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

Psalms 119:41VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.
Psalms 119:42So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.
Psalms 119:43And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.
Psalms 119:44So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
