And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
Matthew 26:48Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.
Matthew 26:49And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.
Matthew 26:50And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.
Matthew 26:51And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.
Matthew 26:52Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
Matthew 26:53Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
Matthew 26:54But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
Matthew 26:55In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.
Matthew 26:56But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.
Matthew 26:57And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
Matthew 26:58But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.
Matthew 26:59Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;
Matthew 26:60But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,
Matthew 26:61And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.
Matthew 26:62And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
Matthew 26:63But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
Matthew 26:64Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Matthew 26:65Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.
Matthew 26:66What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.
Matthew 26:67Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,
Matthew 26:68Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?
Matthew 26:69Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.
Matthew 26:70But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.
Matthew 26:71And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.
Matthew 26:72And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.
Matthew 26:73And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.
Matthew 26:74Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.
Matthew 26:75And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
Matthew 27:1When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
Mark 14:43And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
Mark 14:44And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.
Mark 14:45And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.
Mark 14:46And they laid their hands on him, and took him.
Mark 14:47And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
Mark 14:48And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?
Mark 14:49I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.
Mark 14:50And they all forsook him, and fled.
Mark 14:51And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:
Mark 14:52And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
Mark 14:53And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.
Mark 14:54And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.
Mark 14:55And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.
Mark 14:56For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.
Mark 14:57And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,
Mark 14:58We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
Mark 14:59But neither so did their witness agree together.
Mark 14:60And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
Mark 14:61But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
Mark 14:62And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Mark 14:63Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?
Mark 14:64Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.
Mark 14:65And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
Mark 14:66And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:
Mark 14:67And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.
Mark 14:68But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.
Mark 14:69And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
Mark 14:70And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.
Mark 14:71But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.
Mark 14:72And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
Mark 15:1And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
Luke 22:47And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
Luke 22:48But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
Luke 22:49When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
Luke 22:50And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
Luke 22:51And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
Luke 22:52Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
Luke 22:53When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
Luke 22:54Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.
Luke 22:55And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.
Luke 22:56But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.
Luke 22:57And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.
Luke 22:58And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
Luke 22:59And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.
Luke 22:60And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
Luke 22:61And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
Luke 22:62And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.
Luke 22:63And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him.
Luke 22:64And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
Luke 22:65And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.
Luke 22:66And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,
Luke 22:67Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:
Luke 22:68And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.
Luke 22:69Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
Luke 22:70Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
Luke 22:71And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.
Luke 23:1And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.
John 18:3Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.
John 18:4Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?
John 18:5They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.
John 18:6As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.
John 18:7Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.
John 18:8Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:
John 18:9That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.
John 18:10Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.
John 18:11Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?
John 18:12Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him,
John 18:13And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.
John 18:14Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.
John 18:15And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.
John 18:16But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.
John 18:17Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples? He saith, I am not.
John 18:18And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself.
John 18:19The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.
John 18:20Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.
John 18:21Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.
John 18:22And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so?
John 18:23Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?
John 18:24Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.
John 18:25And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.
John 18:26One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?
John 18:27Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.
John 18:28Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.
John 18:29Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?
John 18:30They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.
John 18:31Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:
John 18:32That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die.
John 18:33Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
John 18:34Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
John 18:35Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?
John 18:36Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
John 18:37Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
John 18:38Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
John 18:39But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
John 18:40Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
John 19:1Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.
