Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.
2 Samuel 5:9So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.
2 Samuel 6:12And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
